Ultra High Current Power Inductors with low DCR 10.2x12.3mm, height dependent on spec. RoHS Compliant |
Frequency Control specialist, TFC, has expanded its range of power inductors, with a low DCR and high current low profile package. The high current is achievable in this compact power inductor as it wastes no air space due to the special construction compound. This consists of the internal wound coil being packed tightly with magnetic iron powder, and a shielded case which helps the inductor to produce a much lower audible noise. Measuring just 10.2 x 12.3mm, the DPI1210 series has an inductance range of 0.22~4.7µH and a rated current of 15~56Amps. It is ideally suited to desktop and server applications, DC/DC converters in distributed power systems and VGA graphics cards. The inductor is of low profile in height (approximately 10mm depending on spec.) and has good DC current characteristics at high temperatures with frequencies ranging up to 5MHz. TFC marketing manager, Craig Wells, said "The DPI1210 series of high current power inductors is a new addition to go alongside our range of SMD and leaded power inductors. As with many of our custom wound / frequency control products, samples are available on request in only 2~4 weeks." |
