The latest sub-miniature crystals are now available from TFC with the world's smallest dimensions of (2.0 x 1.6)mm and 0.5mm tall. The small size and light weight of these crystals make them ideal for miniature hand held devices. The ceramic package and metal lid ensure reliability and low ageing.

LVPECL / LVDS Crystal Oscillator

With options of running on supply voltages as low as 2.5V, the LVPECL / LVDS has a low phase jitter of only 1pS (or 4pS with multiplier) making these oscillators ideal for parallel data transmission. A tight symmetry of 45% to 55% and complimentary output is available in this small six-pad SMD package.

LVPECL (Low voltage positive emitter coupled logic):

• Suitable for high speed serial and parallel data links;
• Low signal swing: 1.095V-1.475V (380mV differential) at 2.5V supply
  1.680V-2.275V (595mV differential) at 3.3V supply

LVDS (Low voltage differential signal):

• Suitable in a circuit where low power consumption is required;

New Product - OC Type XO

TFC have introduced the model OC Type XO which will cover frequencies as low as 32.768 KHz and will go as high as 125 MHz.

Model OC Type XO uses an AT-cut quartz crystal blank instead of a Tuning Fork quartz crystal blank for the lower frequency applications.

By utilising the AT-cut quartz crystal blank, the frequencies versus temperature characteristics are vastly improved over a wide temperature range as compared to a Tuning Fork quartz crystal blank. One major application for the Model OC Type XO is for the precision real time clocks used in computer and communication equipment.

Frequency stabilities of ±25 or ±50 ppm ( -40°C ~ +85°C ) or ±20 or ±25 ppm ( -20°C ~ +70°C ) including 10-year aging are available.

SF-2113 and SF-2114 low profile SMD crystal filter

Housed in a miniature ceramic (7.0 x 5.0)mm case with a maximum height of just 1.5mm this low profile SMD package is ideal for new designs. SMD crystal filters have improved shock and vibration performance combined with excellent specifications.

The filter is supplied with a nominal frequency ranging from 21.40MHz to 45.0MHz and on 16.0mm tape and reel.

NEW PRODUCT - Moulded Chip Inductors

TFC322522 chip inductors in the standard EIA 1210 package are high quality products exhibiting excellent mechanical and electrical characteristics. (0.01 ~ 220)µH.

Supplied on 8mm tape and reel or bulk packed, they are particularly suitable for high frequency applications in miniature equipment.

Electrodes are triple plated with silver, nickel and lead combinations to achieve ideal solderabilty using reflow or solder bath techniques, core material is ceramic and the inductance coil is wound using polyurethane enamelled copper wire.
